"We had a fabulous meal this evening, starting with the very generous BBQ ribs and chicken wings. The owners were very inviting and friendly and the service was excellent. Lovely place, lovely food, lovely people and excellent value. We had the onion bhaji and Thai green chicken curry for the main course. The flavours were exquisite, the ingredients are clearly fresh and delicately combined. It was top class. Compliments to the chef who makes all his own sauces from scratch. This is a wonderful little gem. My husband had a couple of locally brewed beers and really enjoyed them. So glad we found this restaurant."

"My wife and Son had an evening meal at the North Star Matagorda for the first time, we ordered 4 dishes to share, every dish was delicious and so full of flavour, we can’t wait to go back to try more from the menu Service was fast and very friendly, I would highly recommend this hidden gem"

"Just eaten here and everything was spot on. Food was beautiful. Staff and service first class. My husband highly reccomendscthe locally brewed draught beer. Malpeis red beer. Caught the last of the sunshine in a sheltered spot. Will definitely be back."

"Had a few beers and meal at the North Star. Reasonable price and food was great. Various meals to be ordered and also a special of the day. Had a bacon cheese burger with wedges which was lovely especially the garlic dip that came with the meal."
